4 steps to a more productive creative process

Deadlines and stress can damage the creative process. It causes our creative energy to freeze and often fail. I admit there are a few people who thrive under stress, but it is difficult for the rest of us to maintain a productive flow of creative thoughts while dealing with stress. There are 4 steps that I have found beneficial in nurturing the creative process.

1. Space / Distance:
When you’re overwhelmed by the “things” that need to be done, it’s hard to focus on the quality of play necessary to harness creative energy. First find a quiet place where you can hang out and not be interrupted by anything. Turn off your computer, phone, and anything else that might make noise. Put distance between yourself and anything that might distract you.

2. Time:
Allow yourself a certain amount of time. Whether it’s per day, week, or month, be sure to schedule the same amount of time for each session. Divide this into two sections: For example, you have two hours to dedicate to creative time. The first 30 minutes you can focus and banish the strange things from your mind. Write down ideas or review notes or doodles that you have accumulated. This is your time to explore, grope, mull things over, and even make mistakes. This time he gives his brain room to change gears. The next 90 minutes discover that they have created a firm platform for a better quality mindset. You will find that you are more focused and energetic. Your ideas will be better organized and you will have a better idea of how to move forward with them. This will add an element of fluidity to your creative process.

3. Self-confidence:
You have to be willing to stand firm with the understanding that you will create the best you can. Go boldly forward, if you make a mistake take a step back, re-evaluate and decide if you want to continue down this path or choose a different one. This is your time to explore, be brave, and have fun.

4. Laughter:
Creative adventures are meant to be fun. So relax and enjoy the ride. Explore your creative ideas and find out what wonderful places can take you. Make it fun; Remember that something that is created out of joy will be much more satisfying than something that is created out of stress.

Over time, this process will get easier, and before you know it, you will be biding your creative time and will be amazed not only at the number of creative ideas you produce, but you will also be proud that you created them. .
Above all, remember that this is fun.
