Find a person’s cell phone number: Google, Yahoo, MSN and White Pages, Nothing works! Why on earth?

A very common question asked by thousands of people looking for reverse phone lookup is, “How do I find a person’s cell phone number?” I’ve already tried searching google, yahoo or MSN and even the white and yellow pages but none of them seem to have mobile numbers. How do you explain that?

If you are reading this article, chances are you have experienced the same thing. There’s a reason for that. Cell phone numbers are considered personal information unlike landlines. Landline information is considered to be in the public domain, which is why they’ve been in all sorts of regional and national phone books for decades.

There are no regional or national cell phone directories!

Can you believe it? It’s hard, I know! But that is the truth. Many people think that it is a “failure” of the wireless phone companies and/or the state government. Actually, it is not. They have done it on purpose. As mentioned above, mobile phone numbers are considered personal information and therefore, in order to comply with mobile phone user privacy laws, they cannot be published in free public phone directories.

The good news – The good news is that your personal information is safe from telemarketers and identity thieves etc.

The bad news – The bad news is that you’re in trouble if you want to find a person’s cell phone number. Although these numbers are not available in public telephone directories, that does not mean that you cannot access them at all. There are third party ‘services’ that collect these numbers and make them available to you for a fee. This is big business. If you do a Google search for a phrase like “Track Mobile Numbers”, you’ll see hundreds of websites pop up.

Some of them charge up to $99, while other services provide the service for a fraction of that price.

Other factors to consider

  • How often are the databases updated?
  • How accurate are the databases?
  • How many cell numbers do these databases contain?

Only a few ‘services’ do a good job when it comes to the above criteria and it is vital that you select one of those trustworthy ones if you want accurate and up-to-date information.
