Ford Fiesta Zetec car review

Driver comfort and visibility

In general, the visibility of the Zetec is good. There are only 2 areas of mild concern for people with vertical challenges like me (Entertainment

It is worth mentioning. Not only can you control your choice of tunes with a button on the steering wheel, but you can connect almost any portable music player, including a USB stick, MP3 player, and iPod. The Zetec also has a small screen located in the center of the dash that shows what is playing.

Safety

It is not attractive to look sexy in your car if you are not safe. The Fiesta has you covered. ABS with electronic brake distribution and passenger and driver airbags are standard across the range. The Zetec also has dynamic stability control, emergency brake assist, and driver’s head, chest and knee airbags as standard. You can opt for these additional security features on the other models for a small fee of $ 1,000, which is well worth it.

Rear passenger comfort

It’s not a huge car, so 3 burly guys can’t sit comfortably in the back seat. But at least their heads won’t hit the ceiling thanks to the more than generous headroom. However, if you ship with children or small dogs, space is not an issue.

Storage

Some good storage options for a car of this size. There are pockets on the front doors that can hold a water bottle, a good-sized glove compartment, and a small purse on the right side of the steering wheel. In the rear you will also find pockets in the rear of the front and passenger seats. It has 3 nice cup holders that are well placed between the driver and passenger seats.

The trunk isn’t huge, but it easily fits into a gym bag and some purchases with the rear seats in use. We packed 2 suitcases for the night and 2 briefcases with ease. If you need even more space, just fold the rear seat down.

Green factor

Lots of ecological news here. It consumes about 6 liters per 100 km, has a greenhouse rating of 7.5 out of 10 and has been awarded 4 stars by GreenVehicleGuide. Cheap to run and not too harsh on the environment.

Drive

We took the cars for a spin in the Adelaide Hills to really test their grip, acceleration and braking on the road. The Fiesta loved the shaggy twists and steep slopes. It worked incredibly well and was a really fun car to drive. One very clever feature is its speed-sensitive steering called Electronic Power Steering (EPAS). Basically, the steering is lighter when you go slower, like parking, and it gets stiff when you travel at high speed, giving it a sporty feel.

What we love about the party

Healthy list of safety features, excellent audio system, iPod and MP3 player compatibility, blue tooth technology (on the Zetec), and the seat upholstery. You have a choice of 11 exterior colors with a lime metallic that stands out. And yes, we love her style. It’s sporty, sassy, and a bit sexy!

Driving test tips

The indicators are located on the left side of the steering column, thanks to their European origin. It’s not too bad if it’s raining, but on a dry day you’ll feel like a goose putting on your windshield wipers every time you go to use your gauges.

If you are thinking of taking a test drive of this car, you may also want to consider the Hyundai Getz, Kia Rio, Toyota Yaris, Suzuki Swift, and Holden Barina.
