How data is protected with Tally ERP 9

When it comes to data, Tally has always been one of the most secure trading apps in the world. In most systems, one person who knows the database password, who is usually an IT administrator and not a business owner, can create chaos in the system. One can view Tally’s data through the app and thus data security is also controlled by app security. If you intend to store your data in TallyVault as a result of the sophisticated encryption algorithms, it can be absolutely guaranteed that the data will not be recoverable without a valid username and password. All this is possible in addition to keeping data portable. It is one of Tally’s unique strengths that contributes to their remarkable compatibility. With ERP account 9, you can ensure that a specific company can only be accessed using a particular serial number. You may want to use the services of your CA, consultant, or partner to view the data, but you’ll want to prevent someone else from opening it, such as a competitor who might gain a competitive advantage.

You can even stipulate that a company is not accessible in educational mode. You can also stipulate the TDL sets that must run on a specific serial number. Then you will no longer be able to bypass external controls imposed by TDLs, etc., simply by disabling TDLs in the Tally.ini file. Security can even be implemented and enforced through very simple TDLs.

Data security in remote operations

Tally ERP 9’s request response system is extremely secure. Since both the receiver and the sender of the information act as clients and not as servers, hacking is virtually impossible as only servers can be hacked. This is because the data resides only on the client’s machine and not on the viewers’. The customer has full access control and can even decide not to connect a company for remote access even though it has remote users.

Security and Access Control

When multiple users are accessing ERP account 9, from Tally Solutions, the topic of ‘control’ certainly comes up. Several questions arise, such as: what can different users do? Can a user be allowed to make changes to the coupon? Should another user be allowed to print reports? Tally ERP 9’s security keeps everything open by default and gradually locks down the system as the need arises. To simplify the usage pattern, you can define standard sets of rights and use them as templates for particular users, adding or removing rights for that user if necessary. Once you open your company for TSS remote access, you can apply the same level of control to those users: a TSS identity is added in exactly the same way as the normal user.

Almost all security and access requirements are covered by default when you use counting services. In case you need more controls (for example, providers should have remote access only to their respective accounts), they can be customized.
