How to get media exposure for your website or blog

There are several proven ways to get media exposure for your website or blog. From social media to YouTube videos and it doesn’t have to cost you anything. Save your internet connection. Turning a blog post into a video is one of the many exposure tactics used by super successful marketers. But it always is and always will be the quality of your content to get media exposure for your website or blog.

To turn a blog post into a video, use a free tool called “Lumen 5”. You can easily search in your browser and access this valuable tool. Take your time and learn how to handle Lumen 5, it’s a great way to get media exposure.

With video ranking, SEO is pretty much the same as with a website or blog. In order for your website or blog to be seen in the media, it must be extremely descriptive and accurate. Tell YouTube what your video is about. And always put your target keyword as the first word in your video title. In fact, try to have around 3 target keywords in the video title. But make sure the keywords are used within the context of the title.

Now the same target keywords should be present in the first sentence of the video description. But they must also fill in the content of the description, over and over again. Always in context. Simply putting together a bunch of keywords that doesn’t make sense won’t get your video anywhere.

The video description is your chance to convince the viewer that this is what they have been looking for.

Here’s another way to get media exposure for your website or blog. And it’s something you probably wear every day. You guessed it … Facebook!

Create a Facebook page related to your website or blog niche. Then install a plugin called “Hello Bar” and follow the simple guide to link your blog to that Facebook page. The greeting bar is displayed as “Like on Facebook”. But we are not done with the plugins yet.

Another plugin that I personally use is called “Tweedis” which is equally simple to understand. This allows you to use callouts that are shared by your blog readers. Put a sharing option at the beginning of your blog post. And also one in the center and at the end of the post.

In conclusion, for plugins, you want to use a plugin called “Digg Digg”. That’s the floating share button you see on so many professional blogs and websites.

These are all excellent tools and have proven themselves many times over. But without compelling and unique content, any exposure tool can end up looking pretty useless. Time is the most important ingredient for your online success. And getting your website or blog exposed to the media will take time. Because you must build a reputation and inspire your audience with content.

Remember, you are building an Empire and not a Shelter. Building an Empire takes time, and if it was easy, then everyone would have been DotCom Millionaires by now. Just a thought.
