How to handle daily conflicts in any situation

How can you handle daily conflict in any situation you may encounter at home, work, or in other social gatherings? You must recognize that conflict is a part of life and your best plan of attack is to learn good conflict management skills. When it comes to conflict, it is important to deal with it calmly as much as possible. Allowing the situation to turn you into an impetuous monster will not solve the matter.

How can you do this? First identify the common sources of your daily conflict. You can do this by taking note of the people, situations and circumstances that you have noticed that invariably lead to daily conflicts in your daily life. It could be your husband, wife, lover, son, friend, in-laws, coworker, or boss. Also note that the most common place of conflict could be home, work, or social gatherings.

When you think about it, people have to live and work together and everyone has different personalities and opinions, so conflict is just a natural part of the process. At work you have to share desks, resources and common goals, in addition to working together with a good attitude. At home you have to share living areas, televisions, bathrooms, kitchen, and play areas. All of these things can be sources of conflict. It could even be a conflict related to social gatherings related to COVID-19.

While you can try everything in your power to avoid a conflict at first, it does show up eventually. Part of the reason is that people with different personalities have different perspectives. While a person with a type D personality or who is task-oriented, who normally likes to dominate, decide and lead, may resent being directed and prefer to follow a leader who provides direct answers and gets to the point, if his boss or spouse has a Personality type or people-oriented personality, seeds are sown for conflict and will definitely manifest unless you develop and apply the skills to help you become a better conflict manager.

Wherever a conflict occurs, the person in charge or group leader will take responsibility for resolving the conflict. They need to do this neutrally and without taking sides. Conflicts can be successfully managed by making certain changes or simply talking about things and finally reaching a good understanding and agreement between all those involved through more effective communication between co-workers and in your own personal relationships. This is part of the relentless self-control process.
