Look at your liver to help your eyes!

Chinese medicine tells us that the liver and the eyes are connected, and when you think about it, what do your eyes look like after too many celebratory drinks? And what color is the whites of your eyes when you have jaundice!

If our liver is below average, the “slowness” can result in numbness in the fingers or dizziness in the morning, and memory, sleep, thyroid, body weight can also be affected. Interestingly, moles and skin marks can be an indication of a slow liver.

Zeaxanthin and Lutein are antioxidants that protect our eyes from free radical damage. Both are found in the retina and the lens of our eyes, and they filter high-energy blue light, helping to prevent cell damage. They also help prevent macular degeneration.

Alpha lipoic acid is another antioxidant that protects the liver and eyes, in addition to stimulating our levels of glutathione, which is an antioxidant made by our own cells.

There are some things we can do to improve the health of our liver and our eyes, and an important one, of course, is lifestyle.

We can change some things; cut down on stimulants and depressants and drink more filtered water, do some gentle stretches in the morning, and along with a little exercise to aid lymphatic drainage, a massage of the neck and abdomen can be helpful, as the tension in the neck and shoulders can cause eye strain.

Turn your head first to the left and then to the right in a slow circular motion.

Drop it forward, then backward. With your head back, lift your shoulders up to your ears and turn your head from left to right again slowly.

Relax, then massage your neck and shoulders with your fingers and palms. It’s amazing how quickly you cool off!

These combine fruits and vegetables with high antioxidant content that contain all the food, pulp and everything, so that all the elements of that food are available. I imagine that if I cannot select a wide range of fresh fruits and berries every day, I can choose a high-quality drink that has bioflavonoid amino acids, lutein, and zeaxanthin, as well as all those wonderful vitamins and minerals to help my liver. and my eyes!
