Sony Xperia S – The flagship of Sony Xperia

It’s been quite a while since Sony shared forms with Ericsson. Last February, Sony gave us its first phone (without Ericsson) and the Sony Xperia flagship called Sony Xperia S. This phone is packed with a sleek, high-resolution display. It also comes with a whopping 12MP shutter. In this article, I will try to share as much information as I can about the first Sony branded phone. Keep reading!

The specifications of the Xperia S are quite advanced and if we base it on paper, it will give us a completely new mobile phone experience. It comes with a 4.3″ screen along with Sony’s Bravia HD technology. It comes with a huge 12MP Exmore R shutter. It will also get Android Gingerbread as the operating system.

If you look at the phone, you will agree with me when I say that it is quite hot. With the slab of the phone made of glossy piano black glass and a part of the phone housing a transparent strip, you’ll say it’s futuristic in design. The transparent strip that runs from the front and back of the phone acts as its antenna. The actual dimensions of the phone are 128 x 64 x 10.6 mm and it weighs 144 grams. It comes with a curved and slightly thicker back.

Now let me describe this phone for you. If you look at the top of the phone, you will find its power/unlock button and the conventional 3.5mm headphone jack. The right side of the phone houses the volume buttons, the HDMI port, and the dedicated camera button. The bottom of the phone houses the charging/sync port. If you look at the back of the phone, you will see the camera lens and the LED light. The front of the phone consists of a large dark panel with a small cutout for the earpiece and its 1.3MP front camera.

Even if the phone is made of plastic, it is still capable of giving you that premium look and feel. If you’re planning to get this SIM-free phone, expect to pay up to £470. But if you want to get this on contract, expect something like £18 to £36 per month on a 24-month contract. This phone is available in black and white variants.

If you want the latest iteration of Android (Ice Cream Sandwich) for your first Android phone, don’t worry because this phone will soon taste the delicious Ice Cream Sandwich. So, in the meantime, enjoy your Android Gingerbread OS and other amazing features. Enjoy the Sony Xperia flagship now, enjoy the Sony Xperia S.
