The 9 Elements of a Good Recruiting Conference Call

Do you know how to run a good recruiting conference call? If you incorporate the following 9 elements, your next call is sure to be a success.

1 – Size

You need to have a format. An example format could be

  • Introduction
  • Presentation
  • Testimonials
  • Comment
  • Questions and answers
  • Wrap

For the introduction, someone must introduce the keynote speaker on the conference call, or they can introduce themselves. Then do the Presentation which is discussed in more detail in Elements 2-6. Testimonial, Reaction, Questions and Answers, and Closing are covered in Elements 7-9.

2 – Emotion

You need to generate enthusiasm. You want to have a lot of people on the call who are excited about the business. You want to encourage members to attend the Call even if they don’t have anyone on the Call.

3 – Informational

You want to give information about the Company. You want to highlight the Key Points of the Compensation Plan. Of course, you want to talk about the products. You also want to talk about company support. What kind of tools does the company provide. What kind of training does the company offer?

4 – Motivate

Build a Dream. Ask some of the people what their dream is, build a vivid word picture of some of the dreams.

If they talk about their dream house, ask if it has an ocean or lake view. Do you have mountain views as well? Is it a ranch or a Multi-Story. How does the kitchen look? Do you have a media room or regulation indoor basketball court? How about a private 9-hole golf course in the backyard? A friend of mine has a two-lane bowling alley in his basement.

If you dream of financial security. Ask them if it means Private Schools and Colleges for Children and Grandchildren. It may mean early retirement for them with lots of traveling and cruising and never worrying about money.

5 – Short but sweet

Try to keep the actual presentation to 15-20 minutes.

6 – Testimonials

It really is a good idea to have 2-3 people talk about what the company has done for them.

7 – Comments

After the Testimony, ask people a simple question: what do you think? Get 2-3 reactions and then move on.

8 – Questions and answers

Open the line for approximately 10 minutes of questions. Answer each question honestly and truthfully. If you don’t have a reply offer to get it for them.

9 – Closing

End the call and have the call to action. Encourage attendees to meet with the people who invited them to the call to move on to the next step.
