The basics of how Korean women wear makeup

1. Face

To be successful in this goal, always start with a clean, clear face. Most East Asians have been blessed with a white to milky complexion and fine pores, so having porcelain skin comes naturally to them. Their weather is also a big contributing factor, but I would still say that we also have to commend Korean women for really taking care of their skin by observing what they eat and practicing a good skincare routine religiously.

Next, what is very essential in Korean makeup is BB cream. This liquid foundation / moisturizer / sunscreen product is very effective in giving you that glowing, dewy skin, as long as you apply it to your face in the correct amount and in the shade that suits your complexion.

2 eyes

Whether in pencil, liquid, or gel form, black eyeliners are a must for Korean makeup as this is what they wear to enhance their eyes and make them look bigger. For a fresh yet subtle look every day, they narrow their eyes. Squeezing means outlining those gaps between the lashes or outlining as close to the lash line as possible.

This method will do wonders by making your eyes look bigger, brighter, and definitely younger. It will also create what is called the “invisible” eye makeup which has most likely puzzled you as to how Koreans have seemingly defined eyes, but it actually looks like they are not wearing eye makeup at all.

Except if they are actresses who perform concerts and performances, Korean women rarely wear bold dark eyeshadows. They always go for more neutral colors, champagne shades, or just light sparkles to highlight their lids. Sometimes they would even choose not to put any at all.

3. eyebrows

When it comes to grooming the eyebrows, Koreans follow a different style. It is worth mentioning that his method is becoming popular and is now known as “Korean eyebrows”. His usual eyebrows are actually bushy, tousled and very straight. It’s amazing how they can pull off brows like this and still look stunning. The straight brow in particular can give you a look of youthful innocence that is great for defining your eyes.

4. Cheeks

Korean women are blessed with a naturally fair complexion. They like to use blushes in shades of pink, coral and peach in enough quantity to give a healthy glow. For a blush look that is natural, they use tints on the cheeks. For a fresh, wet, porcelain finish, they generally apply highlighters or highlighters to the high points of their face.

5. Lips

Korean women are known for their small but plump lips. Note that most of them have light colored lips. Very popular with them is the “freshly bitten” look that they apply with lip tints (berry color), creating a natural and cute pout. They also like to wear matte lippies in peach and pink colors.
