If you’re in a hurry to build a roster, consider shopping for a wideout in the second round. While there are plenty of WR1s in this tier, they have not yet put together a full fantasy campaign. While they may not be able to produce like a Tier 2 wideout, they’ll offer plenty of upside and instant potential. While WR1 wideouts will always be the best pick in established leagues, they’re past their prime and don’t have much potential to increase their market value.
As a back-end WR rankings, Cooper Kupp had a strong fantasy season, putting up a 1,947-yard, 16-TD season. At only 28 years old, Kupp is a WR1 fantasy player and a keeper. He’s also a sell-high dynasty piece. With his high upside and insane targets per game, Kupp could be a great option in 2022.

Top-30 Dynasty Startup WR Rankings
A great dynasty WR should have a big season. While Hill has proven he is worth a look, he will be 29 in 2021 and will likely be more difficult to sell than his younger counterparts. Meanwhile, Metcalf is only 24-years-old and could take the distance in any game. At that age, his production has slowed a bit this season, but his potential to get over 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdowns is still high.
Ja’Marr Chase’s 81 catches for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns this season are second-best among rookie wideouts. His recent breakout season helped him earn the title of second-highest rookie wideout in fantasy football history. His 2021 season included 1,405 receiving yards and 15 total touchdowns. The rookie’s early season production is good enough to boost his ranking in the top-30 dynasty rankings.
Last season, the Bears were lacking in wideouts, and Mooney emerged as a bright spot. He caught 81 of his 140 targets and closed as WR31 in fantasy points per game. But while he’s not a full-fledged alpha receiver, his young age and low contested catch rate will give him a solid short-term path to smoke the rest of the tier.
