So what do you do if you lost your ticket? Don’t worry. You can go to the website of the Clerk of Courts, 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida, Miami-Dade County.

Once you find it. You can look up your ticket by citation number, driver’s license number or name, date of birth, and gender. If you don’t have the citation number, the second best way to search is to use your driver’s license number. Sometimes your name or date of birth may have been entered incorrectly in the system and you will not be able to find it.

Once you find your record, verify it is correct by looking at the issue date and charges, and then write down the Florida Uniform Traffic Citation (Citation #). You will need this citation number to reference payments by mail, choose traffic school, or plead not guilty.

If you can’t find your ticket online. don’t give up Sometimes it takes a while to get the ticket into the system. If you are nearing the end of the thirty day period after issuance, you must go in person to one of the Miami Dade County Courthouse locations and speak with one of the Court Clerks.
