Who is your biggest mentor? Mentors help you build and use the gifts and potentials within you to make a difference in your life and the lives of those around you. There are many mentors available, but one is the greatest of all. This article reveals the best mentor you should have in life.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, who am meek and humble of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light – Matthew 11:29-30 (NKJV).

There are many mentors around you, consciously or unconsciously shaping your life every day. These mentors determine what you become: a success or a failure, a local champion or an international champion, a nullity or a celebrity. People tend to look for mentors who positively influence their lives and help them achieve their goals and dreams in life. However, not everyone is on the same level. Some are greater or better than others in relation to a particular individual or group and their needs. However, there is one mentor who is the greatest of all. No matter who you are, or your own quirks, He is the best mentor for you. His name is Jesus Christ.

Why is Jesus the greatest mentor?

1. He is your creator

Jesus, as your creator, knows the purpose for which you were created and is therefore in the best position to guide you. He knows the potentials you carry and what is the best way to take advantage of them.

2. You have an impressive record of success as a human being.

The Lord came with a purpose, which he pursued and successfully completed, and now sits at the right hand of the throne of God. He faced many oppositions, but he overcame them all until victory, so he is the ideal model for him.

3. Has an unbeatable track record of successful tutoring

All His disciples who successfully passed through His mentorship manifested the same authority and power. His exploits could only be attributed to his association with Christ. They followed his instructions and rose higher than their peers.

4. Know your weaknesses

The Lord is the ideal person to guide you because He went through what you are going through and overcame everything, so He understands your weaknesses and knows how to overcome them in the best way.

5. He is the wisdom of God

Wisdom is the key to great heights in life and Christ, being the wisdom of God, is the wisdom you need to wrought great deeds. Nobody knows anything better than God and Christ is the access to the manifold wisdom of God.

6. He is your ever-present help

Jesus is always ready to help you and He is closer to you than anyone else. A call of faith is enough to lead you to his rescue. So if you need help, advice, direction, or guidance at any time in life, simply reach out to Him in faith and He will answer.

In all four gospels you hear the mentor teach and show you how to walk in all areas of life; you see what he is capable of doing and his mentorship for his disciples.
